We have released our 2025 - 2026 year threat report, with the new structure covering reports and statistics from the start of April 2025 to the end of March 2026.The report highlights alarming statistics indicating that residents fell victim to scams, resulting in losses exceeding £1 million over the past year.
The report, breaking down loses into categories, reveals that Invoice scams at £265,875 were the largest contributor, with other losses including £259,604 to scam voice calls (vishing) and £213,200 to Romance scams. However, the report clarifies that these figures only come from the reports received and the actual figure is likely much higher.
