We're pleased to release the latest edition of our Bi-Monthly Threat Update, covering cyber activity and emerging threats from September and October 2025.
Recent incidents, both on the Isle of Man and internationally, show how attackers are exploiting trusted relationships, unpatched systems, and social engineering to gain access to sensitive data. Most notably, several Manx businesses have recently suffered email account-compromise incidents: local contractors and suppliers were targeted, resulting in highly convincing phishing attacks propagated across multiple organisations on the Island.
This edition of Threat Update focuses on eCommerce Fraud, a growing threat that involves exploiting online shops, payment systems, or customer accounts to make unauthorised transactions or steal data, and affects a wide range of businesses.
We encourage all residents, businesses, and public sector organisations to review the report and stay informed. Your vigilance and reporting help us build a more resilient Island.
