Overview

Security Updates and Patches: Microsoft, Google Chrome, Apple, Cisco, Samba and QNAP products

Microsoft has released its scheduled security update for April.  This update comprises patches for 93 vulnerabilities of which seven are of critical-severity.

Google has released a patch to fix a high-severity vulnerability in Google Chrome that is currently being exploited by remote-attackers.  The flaw affects Google Chrome on Windows, MacOS, Linux.   This is a use-after-free vulnerability, which means that an attacker could use a specifically-designed webpage to cause unpredictable or damaging behaviour on a vulnerable device.

Apple has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in multiple products, which includes Safari, iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, macOS (incl. Ventura and Monterey) and the Apple Watch series. 

Cisco has released security updates to address twelve high- and eighteen medium-severity vulnerabilities for Cisco IOS XE, Cisco IOS, Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Secure Network Analytics Manager, Secure Network Analytics Virtual Manager, Cisco EPNM, Cisco ISE and other products.

Samba has released security updates to address high- and medium-severity vulnerabilities.

QNAP releases security advisories addressing multiple vulnerabilities including a high-severity vulnerability in Sudo affecting QTS, QuTS hero, QuTScloud, and QVP (QVR Pro Appliances).
